To be able to use these files you must have Vacation and Maki'n Magic installed. The files have been made on a PC with all EP's on it. First, these files are beta and I take no responsibility if your game gets messed up. Please make backups. I have used them in my own game, and have had no troubles at all with them, except for a few surprises during the hacking process :) To use this you have to be familiar with copying and pasting lots and you have to be able to to edit an .iff file with IFF Pencil 2 or some other Iff editor (or see below). |
| First you must add all files in the zip to your game. The new House49.iff is a renamed House00.iff that comes prepared with portals and a phoneline. You should also add a copy of this lot renamed to House12.iff (for building). The new Lot 49 portal and the Summerpole are normal objects. If you don't have House Party you can't use the new free catering service and you have no use for those files. |
The Global.iff file that is in the zip is hacked to make it possible for Sims to use the pedportal when they are on Lot49. Otherwise visitors get stuck there, they can't leave. |
You also have to edit the LotZoning.iff for the neighborhood if you want this new lot to work more like a home. Open it in IFF Pencil 2 and add two lines to it (see pic). If you don't do that the lot will work more like a new vacation lot. If you use an unplayed neighborhood to play with Lot49 you can download an already hacked LotZoning.iff . Don't use this file in a neighborhood where you have made changes to the lot zoning. |

To access your new lot just let your Sim climb the pole. In Makin Magic you can climb to lot 99 too if you want to. On lot 49 you can build but not save. Any changes to the lot will be lost when you leave it. Your Sim can't go to lot 12, they are left behind at home. But when you go to lot 12 you can build on that lot and save. So go to lot 12, build what you want and replace House49.iff with the ready built House12.iff. |
